Gym Time

Yesterday we all went to the gym to practice using our bodies in different ways. First we had to warm up and stretch to make sure our muscles were ready for exercise.

It was an exciting gym today because we had an obstacle course set up for us. We had to really concentrate on keeping our bodies steady as we balanced across the benches, some of us needed a hand to help us at first but soon grew in confidence and managed to walk along the benches with no help at all. We then got to jump off and do a trick on the mats. Some did roly polys, others were really brave and tried flips and cartwheels. After that we went through a very long tunnel, then came another bench! This time we had to pull ourselves along on our tummies, a bit like slugs! Then we had to weave in and out of cones.

At the end we were all tired and could feel your hearts “going boom boom” but we could tell each other that the exercise made us feel happy.
