🥞Pancake Day🥞

Yesterday was pancake day so we took the opportunity to make some pancakes for snack and learn all about measuring the ingredients.

First we had look at the ingredients, this is the list of things we need to make the pancakes, we needed flour, milk, eggs and a little bit of butter.

We learned that to measure how much flour we needed we had to use scales, we had to watch the pointy needle move up to the right number of grams and then we knew it was the correct amount. To measure how much milk we needed we had to use a measuring jug, it was tricky to see the numbers on it but Mrs June helped us. After that we had to count out the eggs, it was good fun breaking them open. Once we had all the ingredients measured and in a big bowl we had to give it a really good mix to make the batter.

We poured the batter into a very hot pan with butter and it made “massive” pancakes that smelled really yummy.

For snack we gobbled them up with some honey 🍯 they were delicious.
