Amazing Nests

What a fantastic response for nest building and well done everyone for correctly answering the 3 questions.

A hen can only lay 1 egg a day.

An ostrich lays the biggest egg.

A hummingbird lays the smallest egg.

Zachary made a fantastic nest for Chase, he used lots of different materials and I really like the use of the skipping rope it goes all the way round the nest. Some great mark making there too Zachary.

Leo also made a nest for a dog, it looks like a well loved dog. He used bark, sticks, moss, leaves and some bits of flowers to make is smell nice. It looks really comfortable. Leo is also doing great mark making, he asked his Alexa the questions about the eggs and got them all right, great use of technology Leo.

Amy was very busy today making her nest with lots of help from Zoe. In their nest is some princesses and a big leopard is watching over them. Amy also painted an elves door, I hope a friendly elf comes to visit you through that door girls. Amy got help from her uncle Michael on answering the questions, well done Uncle Michael!

Harris was impressed that Haggis had been out with Toby on a bike. Harris has been out lots on his bike and sometimes gets in the trailer of his mums bike to go much longer bike rides, Haggis definitely wants a shot in that trailer.

Harris made a nest for his chicken. This is what Harris had to say about it, “Sticks to hold him up off the floor, moss and grass to keep him comfy” then “we should hide him from foxes so he’s not eaten!” 

Well done Harris it’s an excellent nest, I do like the eggs. I am sure you’ll keep the pesky fox away!
