Carnivores and Herbivores

What a way to spend the day, feeding dinosaurs their lunch!

Great work Harris

Harris was really excited to start todays activity.

He knew right away that a Tyrannosaurus Rex would eat other animals and dinosaurs – “that’s what they use their sharp teeth for” and that the herbivores “don’t need as sharp teeth since plants are easier to eat”
Charlie tried to eat our T-Rex this morning……and the ham! I asked if this would make him a herbivore that likes plants or carnivore that eats meat and animals – Harris said “he likes meat!”
When we searched a protagonist Harris told me it was the Good Dinosaur Arlo and he only eats plants – he doesn’t eat the caveman so he’s a herbivore.

Zacahry those dinosaurs look really happy with their meals.

Zachary has had a lot of fun today learning about dinosaurs. He fed his carnivorou dinosaurs some Spam and slices of chorizo. His herbivore dinosaurs had some tasty grass and leaves.
After looking at some dinosaur books we decided that Haggis is a plant eating dinosaur, a herbivore. Zach found it funny as he’s named after a type of meat yet doesn’t eat it. Youre right Zach it its a funny name for a herbivore!!

Wow Amy! A dinosaur egg

Amy did a fantastic job today finding the biggest leaves for herbivore dinosaurs. Let us know what hatches out of that egg!!

Alfies mind maps

Well done Alfie who sent in his mind maps, I think you’ve done a great job and I like your drawing of a tail.
