Good Morning Boys and Girls.
| Literacy: Phonics | Go to https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/3/pick-a-picture and log in using: Username: march20 Password: home In the game ‘Pick a Picture’ choose Phases 3 Sets 6-7. Match the picture to the word displayed. If it is too tricky have a go at the Phase 2 Sets 1-5 option. |
| Literacy: Reading | Parents: In the children’s homework folder you should find their word tin (small plastic box with red lid). There should be 15 words in each tub. These words will be the common words your child was still struggling to immediately recognise at the time of last assessment. I have attached a list of all the common words that your child should be able to recognise up until this point in Primary 1. Many of these words have not been introduced due to either the fact that they have not been in school or they have not been able to recognise the previous ones and I did not want to overwhelm them. The list should be read across the rows. Practice reading / recognising your common words with your adult at home. If you can confidently identify the words your adult can give you some new words to practice. You could make your own version of word cards for these new words. (I have added some new words to the list.) |
| Numeracy | Have a go at https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/games/spot-bots-switched-on Can you remember the pattern? |
| Science | Yesterday we were learning about plastic pollution in the ocean. One way we can help prevent this plastic pollution is to make sure we recycle our waste properly. Have a go at this game: https://www.abcya.com/games/recycling_game Do you have a recycling bin in your house? Have a chat with your adult about what you can and cannot put into it! |
