Good Morning Boys and Girls,

Mrs Forth loves a morning walk! She had me and Tess up and out of bed early even though it was a bit rainy. I am glad we went though because it was nice to hear the birds singing and get fresh air.

Todays whole school challenge is to see how long you can stand like a tree. If you look on our main blog and scroll down a bit there is a good demonstration from Mrs Candido-Barton. You need good balance for this challenge. Even if you can’t stand on one foot maybe try different ways to stand like a tree.

On our walk I stood beside lots of trees, there are so many different kinds. Do you know why trees are so important to us? They give us oxygen to breathe and give lots of wildlife places to live. One of the trees I stood beside had berries on for the birds to eat. Can you name some fruit that we get from Trees?

As a last task I would like you to take some paper and pens and find a tree to draw, it would be great if you could do this outside but if its too wet maybe look out your window to find a tree to draw. It doesn’t have to be perfect just do your best and see how you do. Its good for us to practice our pencil grip and making marks on paper.
