Over the past few weeks we have learned the ee,oo,ck and ai sound.
Today we are going to practice using them. Can you correctly make these words using your sound cards or by writing them down? 1. The part of your body you wear shoes on. 2. What do you read? 3. You do this to the door when you leave the house. 4. If this is falling outside, you’ll get wet. 5. The woods is full of these 6. It comes out at night 7. A boat has one of these 8. The thing that holds your head up.
Literacy: Reading
Have another go at your reading book. Was it any easier this time? When you’re finished can you close the book and retell the story to your adult at home? Remember to include all the important details.
Numeracy
I hope everyone has a dice at home. If you don’t you can just make up the numbers.
Today we are going to have a go at making our own sums. I want you to roll the dice and write that number down and then roll it again and write down that number. Then I want you to add them together. For example of you roll a 6 and a 2 you would write down 6+2= and solve the problem, you can use materials, your fingers or of you’re feeling particularly confident you could just use your head.
Art
Using paper rolled up or a toilet / kitchen roll tube have a go at making:
