P1 Learning Tasks 26th March

Good Morning Boys and Girls. I hope you are all feeling good!

Literacy	You should have your reading book in your homework pack. Take some time to read it with your adults at home. Remember you also have your sounds and your common words that you can keep practicing! When you have finished, the last sound we worked on in class was ‘sh’. If you’ve forgotten what the sound is watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqigJZm5aa4&t=56s to refresh your memory! Now try and see how many words you can think of that have the ‘sh’ sound. Can you write them down? (You might need an adult to help, but please have a go at sounding them out yourself!)
Numeracy	Log in to your Sumdog account (www.sumdog.com). You will find your log in details either in the front of your homework diary or in the small brown envelope in your homework pack. Log in.Click on MathsThe game will ask you a series of questions. Try your best to answer them. Please try to play the game for 15-20 minutes. *Parents:* When you initially log in to Sumdog it takes the children through a diagnostic test which allows it to tailor the questions to your child’s personal abilities. While your child is completing this part please feel free to explain the questions to them if they do not understand but try not to help them too much as this will skew the results and perhaps make it more difficult for them to play the game independently.
Health & Wellbeing	Joe Wicks will be hosting an at home PE lesson live on his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1) at 9am. Try your best to tune in and join in. Don’t worry if you’re not able to do it at 9am, it should remain on his YouTube page so that you can complete it later in the day. If you are struggling to find it, he also has a playlist of Kid friendly workouts that you could do instead. Bonus Challenge

Ask your adult at home to search for an animal on google. There should be an option to see a 3D animal. Can you make it come alive in your house? Send me a picture if you can!
