🦖27.3.20 Nursery Activitiy and Check in🦖

Good Morning everyone. I hope you’re all doing well and still managing to get outside for your daily walk. I see Leo and Amy have been very busy outside. I’m so glad you were enjoying the weather yesterday.

Today we are going to do a little bit of literacy, so grab some paper and pens, pencils or crayons and your loose parts.

First we are going to make funny faces on our paper with the loose parts, be creative and make different expressions, happy, excited, worried etc. Use lots of different materials from around the house too.

Once you’ve spent some time talking about the faces you’ve made, pick your favourite one and take your pen and draw round the parts on the paper. This is a bit tricky but it doesn’t have to be perfect. It let’s you get used to holding a pen and is great practice for beginning to write, its called mark making. Once you’ve drawn round your objects, take them off and then you can add details, like eye lashes, teeth, nostrils, hair ears, whatever you like.

When I was finished I shared the banana I used with Tess for breakfast. 🍌

Please send me pictures of your funny faces once you are finished.

While staying with Mrs Forth, I’ve made friends with a couple of others, one of them is a bit grinchy but has a big heart really! We decided to make a reading den and read a book together in it. Can you make a reading den too? What book did you read?

We read the book “Where The Wild Things Are” I really enjoyed it. You can go on YouTube and some people will read it to you if you don’t have the book.

Please don’t forget to check in and send your photos to Mrs Forth at emma.forth79@gmail.com Have a great day. 🦖
