P1 Home Learning Tasks 27th March

Good morning boys and girls.

I can’t believe it’s the last day of ‘term’. Although things are a bit different at the minute and we aren’t getting to say goodbye to each other before we go off and enjoy our Easter Holidays (and hopefully an Easter egg or two 🙂 ).

Thank you too all of you and all of your mums, dads and adults at home for engaging with all the learning tasks so well. Miss Robinson has been logging in to her Education City and Sumdog accounts each night and can see how hard you have all been working.

Literacy	Watch (or read if you have it at home) the story of The Rainbow Fish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifXlc0QI2kY The Rainbow fish has shiny scales. Can you find other things around your house that are shiny? Can you make your own Rainbow fish using colouring pens or pencils and perhaps some tin foil to make his shiny scales? If you have a printer at home, maybe your adults could print you a template (https://www.sparklebox.co.uk/1731-1735/sb1732.html). If you don’t have a printer you can just draw one too! 😊
Numeracy	Pick a room in your house, living room, bedroom, kitchen, it’s up to you. Go on a shape hunt around your chosen room. How many things can you find that are a: SquareCircleRectangle (remember the differences between a square and a rectangle)TriangleAre there any other shapes that you can see?
Health & Wellbeing	Joe Wicks will be hosting an at home PE lesson live on his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1) at 9am. Try your best to tune in and join in. Don’t worry if you’re not able to do it at 9am, it should remain on his YouTube page so that you can complete it later in the day. If you are struggling to find it, he also has a playlist of Kid friendly workouts that you could do instead.
