Follow in my footsteps

Good Morning children

I had a really exciting time yesterday, me and my friend Topsy the triceratops went for a walk in the nursery woods. It was lovely and green, lots of the plants are growing and there was lots of wild garlic, we had a little snack on the plants as we walked round. This because as you learned we are both herbivores.

On our way round we left 10 footsteps for you to find and follow. They are all numbered 1 – 10 and have corresponding number of dots on them too for you to count. We started at the steps along from the nursery. You leave from behind the mercat center, turn left and follow the path, on the right you’ll come to some steep steps, start here!

Go down the steps over the little bridge that has no water under it. Walk down the path a bit and you’ll find our first footstep. After that follow the path beside the river towards the log cabins. Dont forget look out for footprints!! Once at the log cabins go right you’ll come to a hill that takes you up towards the village, go halfway up and turn right and walk towards the big tree and circle of wood stumps that the nursery meet at every week. Its basically a small loop of a walk. Footprints will be nailed to mostly trees along the way.

This was our favourite spot, I think lots of you have sat here before.

The last footprint is quiet hidden, its near the totem pole. If you head down the small path behind the circle of tree stumps you’ll find the totem pole.

Once you are at the totem pole you’ll have to have a good look around for a tree with our last footprint. You’ll also find a surprise there which will answer todays question. How are baby dinosaurs born?

Don’t worry if you miss some footprints they will be there for a while.

Maybe take a pencil and paper and tick of the numbers you find. It would also be amazing if you can send me photos of what you find at the end.
