Monday 2.06.20 Fun Day

Hello girls and boys I loved the scavenger hunt you all went on Friday it looked lots of fun and you all found so much great stuff well done.

I think we can all agree our last term of nursery has been a very strange one we have not been able to see each other or go on our much looked forward to end of term fun day. For our little ones who have not been on our fun day before, to decide where to go for the day, we all talk about where we would like to go on our day out, we use a mind map to track all the ideas and things we want on our fun day, once we have looked at all of these we can decide where we will go.

in past years we have had a bouncy castle disco with a special visit from a face painter and ice cream van who gave everyone a whipped ice cream. We went to Rosemarkie beach for the day, a big bus came to get us and take us there, we had a treasure hunt, picnic lunch some children played on the swings and slides, some of us went a big walk through woods to a magical waterfall. another year we went up to the soft play park frankie and Lola, and then to a lovely super big play park. The best bit of all is our mums and dads come as well.

Clues for where we want to go.
Haggis and friends mind map

So girls and boys haggis and his friends have left us lots of clues can you work out where they want to go on their trip.

Today we would like you to take anybody you like on your own end of term fun day. Make a mind map of all the things you would like to do, it can be anything remember this is your day and anything goes, let your imagination run wild that is what you are all good at. Maybe you want to go a treasure hunt with donosaurs, or take your dollies for a special mad hatters tea party, maybe you want to cross a big river with your lions and tigers.

Have a great day and we will all look forward to lots of lovely photos and stories 😊😊

Nursery Hunters

Huge well done to those that took part in the hunt on Friday. Haggis was super impressed with your effort and photos. Hope you’ve all enjoyed the weekend even though today has been a bit wet, t least all the plants will be getting a good drink of water.

🦖 Good Morning Boys & Girls

It is my last day of doing the blog with Mrs Forth and she has given us all an exciting task! She wants us to go on a scavenger hunt. It would be amazing if you get all your family involved and make an adventure of it. I have had a bit of head start and found some bits already.

A flower pot, a lead, a twig and a stone.

Here is your list, you maybe want to write, or print it out and tick them off as you go along.

I would love to see lots of photos boys and girls, even those that haven’t managed to get involved much during lockdown it would be really great to see some photos of you.

Please try to get as many as you can, even the bonus items – I think my stone can double up as something hard and my stick as something spiky.

Have lots of fun and stay safe.

Don’t forget to register. 🦖

Then here are so of his lockdown adventures with his family.

Good Morning Boys & Girls

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the warm weather. Leo sent some pictures of his Great Granny and his friend Felipe helping him practice jumping with hoops! Looks like you’re having lots of fun. Leo, your Great Granny is very fit jumping about!

Today Ms Brewer set us a lovely task of looking g after our wellbeing and taking time out to relax. Below is what she has asked us to try. I would love to hear how you felt doing it and how it made you feel after. I found it a bit tickly but it made me relaxed and calm. I helped Mrs Forths cat, Meow relax by stroking her paw, she fell asleep because she was so relaxed. Maybe ask a grown up to help you, they can trace your fingers and tell you when to breath in and then out.

Helping meow relax

I have been doing lots of walking already this week for the weekly 5k, I wonder if anyone else has been out walking in new places? It would be great if you could share photos of you and your family out and about.

My walk, can you guess where I’m going?

Have a great day and don’t forget to check in.

Writing:Can you write the answers to my riddles?
1. I have a very loud roar. If you count my legs, I have four. I do not sing but In the jungle I am the king.
2. You will find me in the North Pole, where it’s very cold, I can live to be more than 30 years old. My coat is furry and white, be careful because I bite.
3. I can run faster than you. The lions and tigers are my cousins in the zoo. I would beat the other big cats in a race. I have spots on my coat from my tail to my face.
4. Of all the apes, I am the biggest and the best. When I am angry I beat my chest. I have hands and feet like you. We live in families like humans too.
5. My legs are very thin but very strong. My neck is very, very long. I eat leaves instead of meat. I have hooves on the bottom of my feet.
6. I have no arms or legs. My babies hatch from eggs. I slither on the ground so quietly. Sometimes you might find me curled up in a tree.
7. You won’t find me in every zoo. I love to eat sticks of bamboo. My fluffy coat is black and white. I love to sleep in the day or at night!
