Woods Wednesday

We had a great time in the woods yesterday. The children walked to woods safely holding their partners hand and following instructions beautifully.

When we arrived we went through the woods rules and all of the children demonstrated they understood them by having lots of fun but not breaking any rules, all the staff were very proud of how well the behaved.

There was lots of digging for worms, making camp fires and patterns with natural materials found in the woods.

Our Current Topic

As you can see from the planner attached in a previous post, our new topic as an early years class is ‘My Family’.

As a class we are looking for a picture of your house and pictures of the children’s families. I would be very grateful if you were able to email any photos to carolyn.robinson@highland.gov.uk.

Thank You

Miss Robinson

A busy week already!

On Monday we started our weekly Little Dribblers sessions with Ross County. The children all had lots of fun building their teamwork and football skills. I apologise that the photos aren’t great quality, the children were all moving so fast!

In Primary 1 we have been starting to look at the sounds we need to learn to help us read. We were focusing on the ‘s’ sound. The children were hard at work feeding the snake ‘s’ words with Miss O’Brien, practising their writing and making objects that begin with ‘s’ out of play-doh!

Gracie made a fabulous star!
